The first T20I played between India and England at the Green park stadium, Kanpur was a big occasion for Parvez Rasool. Rasool, who had a very impressive last season of Ranji Trophy, ma?de his T20I debut for India and bowled 4 overs ??picking up a wicket for 32 runs.

But, before the start of the match, the Kashmiri all-rounder landed in trouble for “allegedly” insulting India’s national anthem. Before the start of the play Parvez Rasool was seen standing at ease during the national anthem and chewing a gum.

According to the Section 3 of the Prevention of Ins??ult t??o National Honour Act, 1971,

“Whoever intentionally prevents the singing of the Indian National Anthem or causes disturbance to any assembly engaged in such singing shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.”

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni?? will be conferred with the Padma Bhushan award on the Republic Day at the Rashtrapati Bhavan as the government of India cleared his name in the sports category.

Dhoni will be receiving this award along with Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu and chief national badminton coach, Pullela Gopichand.

Dhoni’s name for India’s third highest civilian honour, Padma Bhushan, was recommended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Dhoni was previously awarded the Padma Shri in 2009 for his achievements in c??ricket. In 2007, Mahi was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award by the Sports Ministry.

MSD, who led the team to two World Cup wins, is India’s most successful captain across all three formats. Dhoni led Team India in 60 Tests, winning a record 27 of them. He stepped down as limited-overs skipper on 5th January but continues to be part of the ODI and T20I squads.
