Young Indian cricketer, Prithvi Shaw, who has been a true revelation for Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2018, ended his run in the eleventh edition of the tournament with a bizarre run-out when he was caught un?awares outside the? crease by Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

After smashing two boundaries, Shaw seemed to be on the course of a big knock, until Mustafizur Rahman stepped into the attack in the fourth over. The Bangladeshi pacer bowled an off-cutter in the very first ball as Shaw’s partner Glenn Maxwell sliced it away down to the backward point.

Shaw looked for a single but then retrieved on seeing Hardik collecting the ball and throwing it down to the non-striker’s end. However, the 18-year-old seemed casual in his approach, for he believed that the ball would go past the stumps.

Caught unawares, Shaw faced a brain-fade moment as Hardik’s rocket throw hit the stumps directly.

Jason Roy’s unbeaten 91 helped Delhi Daredevils (DD) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 7 wickets in a thriller at the Wankhede stadium on Saturday. With this victory, DD has opened their account in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) while MI succumbed to their third consecutive defeat.

After put in to bat first, MI posted a competitive total of 194 riding high on a 102-run opening stand between Evin Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav. But Roy’s blazing innings neutralized helped MI’s efforts as the Daredevils record the highest successful run-chase at the Wankhede. For Mumbai, it was yet another instance where they suffered a last-ball defeat.

Mumbai Indians have e?ntered the Indian Premier League (IPL) record books and qualified for the playoffs af??ter defeating Delhi Daredevils by 146 runs.

The Daredevils were bowled out for just 66 runs in 13.4 overs at the??ir home ground, Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday (6th May).

That was in reply to MI’s total of 212/3, which was founded on half-centuries by Lendl Simmons (66) and Kieron Pollard (63 not out).

MI eclipsed the ??IPL record of the biggest?? win by runs, held by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016 when they beat Gujarat Lions by 144.

This is the seventh time that a side has managed to win an IPL game by more than 100 runs (first time in ?IPL 2017).

IPL 2017: Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma pulled off of an absolute blinder to dismiss Delhi Daredevils middle order batsman Marlon Samuels dur??ing a T20 match which was played at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday (May 6).

On the 4th ball of the 7th over bowled by Karn Sharma, Samuels att??empted a drive only to take an outside edge of his bat. The ball almost passed Rohit who was at the slips but MI skipper threw himself to his right, struck out a hand and the ball stuck straight into his hand.
