The high voltage Women’s Premier League (WPL) Player Auction for the 2025 season is set to take place on December 15, 2024, in Bengaluru. The auction will commence at 3 PM IST on Sunday, w𒆙ith teams gearing up to finalize their squads for the upcoming season.

Player pool and key highlights

This year, the auction pool features a total of 120 players, including 91 Indians and 29 overseas players, with three hailin🧜g from associate nations. Among the Indian players, only nine are capped, while the overseas category includes eight uncapped players.

Most franchises have retained their core squads, leaving only 19 slots, including five for overseas players, available for selection during the auction.

The defending champions led by have retained the core of their victorious 2024 squad while trading England batter Danni Wyatt from UP Warriorz.
