Tanzid, who had struck six fours and three sixes, looked visibly disappointed as Bangladesh lost their third wicket.

Though Joseph’s bowling may not have grabbed the limelight, his contributions proved instrumental. The pacer finished with figures of 2 wickets in his 10-over spell. Besides dismissing Tanzid, Joseph also accounted for Soumya Sarkar earlier in✤ the innings, removing the other opener for 19 runs. His early breakthroughs provided the West Indies with thꦏe foundation to restrict Bangladesh’s progress.

Opting to bat first, Bangladesh managed to put up a fighting total of 294/6 in their allotted 50 overs. Skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz led from the front with a composed knock of 74 runs. Romario Shepherd was the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies, claiming three wi🍰ckets in his spell.
