The Jets, reigning champions of the inaugural edition, showcased their prowess against the Bappa, captained by the dynamic Ruturaj Gaikwad.

During the ninth over of the first innings, a pivotal moment unfolded with the dismissal of Azim Kazi, the left-handed batter for the Jets. At 63/1 in 8.2 overs, Kazi faced leg-spinner Rohan Kharat. Attempting a sweep shot, Kazi misjudged the ball, which ended up yorking him, sneaking through his legs, and dislodging the stumps. Kazi’s innings concluded with a score of 19 runs from 25 deliveries, including two boundaries.

In a display of camaraderie and competitive spirit, the Bappa captain Gaikwad, who shares a close friendship with Kazi, celebrated the dismissal in an unusual manner. Ratnagiri Jets wins nail-biting encounter against Puneri Bappa
Following Kazi’s departure, the Jets’ innings saw stellar contributions from Dhiraj Phatangare, Kiran Chormale and wicketkeeper-batter Nikhil Naik. Their formidable knocks propelled the Ratnagiri Jets to a compe꧋titive total of 178/5 in their🤡 20 overs.
Chasing 179 for victory, the Bappa’s innings was spearheaded by Suraj Shinde who made 55 runs of just 24 balls and Gaikwad, who remained unbeaten with a composed 23 from 18 balls. Despite his efforts, the Bappa fell short by six runs, finishing at 172/9. The Jets’ bowlers held their nerve to secure a thrilling win.
