A resounding win for SRH in Qualifier 2
SRH registered a convincing 36-run victory over RR in Qualifier 2 on Friday night.. Despite early jitters caused by Trent Boult’s bowling, a collective effort from SRH batsmen, with key contributions from Travis Head, Rahul Tripathi, and Heinrich Klaasen, resulted in a competitive 175/9.
RR’s chase began brightly with a strong showing from Yashasvi Jaiswal (42). However, their top order faltered, failing to capitalize on his early momentum. Jurel’s valiant knock of 56 off 35 balls offered a glimmer of hope, but a lack of support at the other end ultimately doomed their chase. SRH’s bowling attack, led by the impressive spin duo of Shahbaz Ahmed (3/23) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24), choked the RR batsmen and restricted them to 139/7.
