Addressing the speculation surrounding Pant’s inclusion in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, Shah revealed that Pant could participate in the mega event if he can resume wicketkeeping duties. The global showpiece event is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA) from June 1, immediately following the conclusion ofಞ the IPL.
“He is batting well, he is keeping well. We will declare him fit very soon. If he can play the T20 World Cup for us, that will be a big thing for us. He is a big asset for us. If he can keep, he can play the World Cup. Let’s see how he does in the IPL,” Jay Shah was quoted as saying by the PTI.
