In a thrilling encounter at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Australia emerged victorious in the third match of the Australia Tour of India 2023, defeating India by 66 runs. This victory provi𝓰des Australia with a much-needed boost in 𝓡the series after India had secured wins in the first two matches.
Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and elected to bat, setting the stage for a high-scoring contest. Australia posted a formidable total of 352/7 in their al🦋𓆉lotted 50 overs, thanks to some excellent batting performances.
David Warner led the way with a blistering 56 runs off 34 balls, including 6 fours and 4 sixes. Mitchell Marsh was the top scorer for Australia, narrowly missing out on a century with 96 runs off 84 balls, which in🤪cluded 13 fours and 3 sixes.

Steven Smith contributed 74 runs off 61 balls, with 8 fours and 1 six, while Marnus Labuschagne added 72 runs off 58 balls, featuring 9 fours. The Australian innings also included useful contribution from skipper Pat Cummins down the order.
In response, India put up a valiant effort but fell short of the target, managing to score 286 runs before being bowled out. Rohit Sharma was the standout performer for India, scoring 81 runs off 57 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes. Virat Kohli contributed 56 runs off 61 balls, with 5 fours and 1 six, while Shreyas Iyer scored 48 ru😼ns off 43 balls, including 1 four and 2 sixes.
However, the Australian bowlers, led by Glenn Maxwell’s four-wicket haul, kept the pressure on and restricted India from reaching the target. Maxwell dismissed the likes of Rohit, Washington Sundar, Kohli and Shreyas Iyer to complete his 4-wicket haul.
