Team India put on a dominant display against Bangladesh in the of the ICC Championship match held at the༒ Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the visitors posted a competitive total of 228 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 ꦫovers.

Smriti Mandhana provided a solid start, contributing 36 runs off 58 deliveries with 4 fours. However, it was the partnership between skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues that set the stage for a challenging total.

Harmanpreet scored a patient 52 off 88 balls, while Rodrigues displayed an impressive batting performance, smashing 86 runs off just 78 deliveries with 9 fours to her name. Harleen Deol and the rest of the lower order added valuable runs to push the score beyond 200. For Bangladesh, the likes of Marufa Akter, Sultana Khatun, Nahida Akter, and Rabeya Khan picked up crucial wickets, but they couldn’t prevent India from setting a substantial target.
