The Zim Afro T10, an exciting cricket tournament organized by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) in association with T Ten Global Sports, approaches its player draft on July 2. Ahead of the highly anticipated draft, the five franchises p🦩articipating in the tournament have announced their pre-draft marquee players.
The competition will feature five teams vying for top honors: Harare Hurricanes, Joburg Buffaloes, Durban Qalandars, Bulawayo Braves and Cape Town Samp Army. The inaugural edition of the Zim Afro T10 is set to kick off on July 20, with a grand finale scheduled for July 29. All matches will ♍take place in the vibrant city of Harare.
According to tournament regulations, each squad must consist of a minimum of 16 players, with at l𓄧east 6 players hailing from Zimbabwe. One Zimbabwean player will be selected from ♊the emerging player category, which is part of a nationwide talent hunt.
As the franchises pr🏅epare for the draft, they have the opportunity to secure a maximum of 4 top international players as pre-signed additions to their squads. These marquee players will be announced before the draft commences, ꦯsetting the stage for an exhilarating tournament.
Fans can expect to witness a plethora of international stars showcasing their skills in the upcoming Zim Afro T10. Notably, the Harare Hurricanes boast the formidable duo of Eoin Morgan and Robin Uthappa as their marquee players. Their experience and expertise will undoubtedly add depth to the Hurricanes’ lineup.
Meanwhile, the Joburg Buffaloes have secured the services of the explosive Yusuf Pathan as their marquee player. Pathan, known for his powerful hitting and valuable contributions with both bat and ball, is expected to be a vital asset for the Buffaloes’ campaign.
The Bulawayo Braves have enlisted the services of Sikandar Raza as their marquee player. Raza, a dynamic all-rounder, brings a wealth of experience to the Braves’ squad and will play a crucial role in their pursuit of glory.
