The first Test of the Men’s Ashes 2023 recently concluded with Australia grabbing a thrilling victory over England at Edgbaston. Before the action move to the second match, the are all set to kick off their Ashes with a one-off Test on Thursday, June 22.
The only Test, wh💖ich will take place at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, will be followed by six white-ball fixtures featuri🍨ng three T20Is and as many ODI matches. The series of the shortest format will begin on July 01 whereas the ODI leg will start on July 12.
The previously-adopted point-based system will continue in Ashes 2023, wherein the team emerging victorious in each Test match will receive four points. For every triumph in the limited-overs matches, two points will be awarded. In the event of a draw, no result, or a tie, the points will be divided equally between the competing teams. Notably, unlike the four-day format used for women’s Test matches, the solitary Test between England and Australia will be played over a five-day period.
