In a thrilling encounter, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) emerged victorious against 🏅Delhi Capitals (DC) by 9 runs in the Indian Premier Leꦿague (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Sta🧜dium on Saturday.
Batting first, SRH posted a massive total of 197/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma was the st♉andout performer with the bat for the 2016 champions, scoring 67 runs off 36 deliveries, including 12 fours and 1 six.
Apart from Abhishek, Heinrich Klaasen also played a crucial knock, scoring 53 runs off just 27 deliveries, which featured 2 fours and 4 sixes. For the Capitals, Mitchell Marsh was the pick oওf the bowlers, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs.
Chasing a daunting target of 198 runs, DC got off to a disastrous start, losing skipper David Warner for a duck in the very first over. However, Philip Salt and Marsh steadꦚied the ship with some good batting performances.
Salt scored 59 runs off 35 deliveries, while Marsh played a brilliant innings of 63 runs off 39 deliveries, including 1 four and 6 sixes. However, despite their efforts, the Capitals fell short of the target, managing to score 188/6 in their 20 overs and losing the contest by 9 runs. For SRH, Mayank Markande and Abhishek took 2 wickets each.
