Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will square off against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the match no. 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday (April 2). While RR will be led by their regular skipper Sanju Samson, the Hyderabad-based team will be captained by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the absence of newly appointed skipper Aiden Markram who is not available for the SRH’s opening game due to international commitments.

Rajasthan had a great IPL season last year and finished the league as first runner-ups after losing the final to eventual champions Gujarat Titans (GT). Whereas SRH ended the league stage of IPL 2022 at the eighth position and failed to reach the playoffs. Notably, RR’s Jos Buttler finished the last year’s IPL as the highest run-scorer and amassed 863 runs for his team in 17 matches.
