In the 35th match of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23, Hobart Hurricanes defeated Melbourne Stars by 2 wickets at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
Put in to bat first, Stars posted a total of 131/7 in 20 overs. The only batsman to have batted well for the Stars was Hilton Cartwright, who scored a decent 57 runs off 47 deliv♔eries and powered his team to a respectful total.
In reply, Hurricanes’ with the help of opener Caleb Jewell‘s 70 (44), chased down the target in 17.4 overs and scored 133 for the loss of 8 wickets.
Apart from the team’s batting performance, Hurricanes’ skipper Nathan Ellis bowled exceptionally well and took two wickets in his four overs quota, giving away just 12 runs. Riley Meredith and Faheem Ashraf also picked up two wickets each.
The game towards the end turned a bit dramatic after the Stars dismissed the Hurricanes’ top order. Still, the latter somehow managed to register a victory, with captain Ellis hitting the winning runs.

Who is Hobart Hurricanes coach ? He seems to have some problem with Power Surge again and again, This game would ꦍhave ended 4-5 overs earlier with power surge and NRR would have been positive

This chase is giving all vibes of that IPL game where Delhi Capitals lost 7 wickets for 8 runs against Punjab. Hobart Hurricanes making an absolute has of a game they should havꦑe wrapped up by now. Have they forgotten the Power Sꦬurge exists?
