Adelaide Strikers‘ premiere spinner Rashid Khan has left the ongoing BBL season midway. The leg spinner i🌜n his last ga﷽me for the Strikers went wicketless, but his team won the contest by seven wickets.
For the last 6 BBL seasons, Rashid had been part of the Strikers’ family and was also retained by the franchise last year.
On leaving the Strikers, the Afghan star said that his love affair with the𓃲 team would continue even in the next season. He also expressed his love for the city and was spotted giving autographs t🎃o his fans even in the night hours.
“I will definitely be back on this team next season; I don’t see myself with any other team. As long as I am coming to the Big Bash, the Strikers will be my first pick. If it’s not with the Strikers I don’t think I will be able to come and play … that is something that is very clear. I just love this city, I love this franchise, and I love these fans,” Rashid told the NCA NewsWire.
“Even in the World Cup playing against Australia here the cheers were there for me, and I felt like, yes, this is my home. I am so blessed and happy to be loved here… it makes me not want to go anywhere else,” he added.
Rashid has flown to South Africa to take part in the inaugural edition of SA20, where he will be captaining the MI Capetown.
The Capetown-based franchise will compete with the Paarl Royals in the very f༒irst match of the season on Tuesday (January 10).
