In response, South Africa had a terrible start, losing their two wickets for just a solitary score at the board. Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram t𒅌hen steadied the innings and 𒁏added 46 runs for the third wicket.

The asking rate was still so high, but de Kock and David Miller changed gears and cut short the deficit in quick time. The pair took the game to the final over but fell short of 15 runs to lose the contest. Miller smashed an incredible century while de Kock scored a fifty.
