Pakistan and Zimbabwe, on Thursday, played out a thriller in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 where the Men in Green lost the contest. In ꦓthe paltry chase of 131, the Babar Azam-led side reached 129/8 to lose the match 🐬by a solitary run.
After the epic nail-biter, a large section of fans described the victory of 👍Zimbabwe as revenge for the fake Mr Bean controversy invo🌊lving Pakistan.
Notably, Zimbabwe people were duped by a comedy show in Harare back in 2016, where they expected to see Rowan Atkinson, the British actor known for portraying the famous Mr Bean character. However, citizens felt betrayed when Pakistani comedian Asif Mohammad walked out andඣ performed at the Harare International Conference Centre.
Taking the controversy to the next level, in a funny social media post, Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa congratulated the Craig Ervine-led side and took a jibe at Pakistan♕ by mention🐼ing Mr Bean.
“What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean…#PakvsZim, ” tweeted Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

“We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit .. and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back 🙂 Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today,” Sharif wrote on Twitter.

Coming back to the Pakistan team, the loss against Zimbabwe has put them in a shaky position regarding the road to the competition’s semi-finals. They are positioned at the second-last position in the Group 2 points table headed by India. Pakistan will next face the Nethe✨rlands at Perth on Sund♕ay.
