Star England batter Alex Hales, on Wednesday, picked his semi-finalists for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022ꩲ, scheduled to begin from October 16 in Australia.

Notably, as many as 16 teams are taking part in the global showpiece event, which will conclude on November 13. There is no doubt the competition will be at the top level,🍰 where only four teams will mana🍰ge to book a place in the semi-finals.

Hales, meanwhile, has picked his team England along with Rohit Sharma’s India, Babar Azam-led Pakistan, and Aaron Finch’s Australia as the top four teams of the multi-team event.

Notably, the Aussies are the defending champions, while England crashed out in the semi-final of last year’s T20 World Cup after losing to runners-up New Zealand. Pakistan were also eliminated by Australia in the semis. On the other hand, India had a terrible tournament as they failed to go beyond the Super 12 after initially losing to Pakistan and the Black Caps.

In a fun video shared by Pakistan Cricket on their official Twitter handle, Hales made his🙈 picks while speaking in a rapid-fir⛎e round.

Here is the video:

Hales made his international return for England in the recently-concluded opening T20I of the ongoing seven-match series against hosts Pakistan. The 𓄧right-handed batter sizzled with the willow, scoring 53 from 40 deliveries, his ninth T20I half-century, including seven fours, helping England to chase down 159 with four balls to spare.

“It was a very special feeling to be back on the park for England. Three years felt like forever. To go out and score 50 on my return in a winning team is the stuff dreams are made of. It is a nice feeling. It felt like a debut again, so it was a very special night. It just feels like a dream come true to contribute with a half-century in a winning team in a country where I have a lot of good, special memories feels fantastic,” Hales had said after the match, as quoted by SkySports.
