Team India kept their domination over England after winning the second T20I at Edgbasto🌳n inဣ Birmingham on Saturday. With the victory, the visitors clinched the series, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-mat𓆏ch leg.
One of the heroes behind the victory for India was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who shined with the ball in the contest. The right-arm pacer finished with incredible figures of 3 for 15 from 3 overs, including a maiden and a wicket of England captain Jos Buttler.
Buttler yet again became a victim of Bhuvneshwar’s swing as he was caught behind by Rishabh Pant in the second T20I. Notably, in the opening game, the English wicketkeeper-batter was cleaned up by a dazzling in-swinger from Bhuvi. In total, Bhuvneshwar has dismissed Buttler five times in the T20Is, making him his ‘bunny’ in the shortest format.
For his brilliant exhibition with the ball, Bhuvneshwar was named ‘Player of the Match’, and in the post-match ceremony, he shared his thoughts on Buttler’s dismissal. Bhuvi mentioned that the wicket of Buttler is always important as he is a dangerous batter and can take the game away in an instant.
“He (Buttler) is a dangerous player, and if he goes past the powerplay, he can score big. If the ball swings, it motivates you to do well, and I am confident right now,” said Bhuvneshwar after the match.
“When the ball swings, you enjoy bowling. But if I am not wrong, it has not swung much in England in the past few years. Good for me (that the white ball swung more than the red ball),” he added.
