Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah etched his name in record books when he claimed a five-wicket haul during Day 2 of ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka.
Bumrah, who had ended Day 1 with three wickets to his credit, removed Lasith Embuldeniya in the third over of the second day before dismissing Niroshan Dickwella (21) t🌠o get to his fifth wicket. It took Bumrah merely 10 overs to reach the feat, and it was his maiden five-wicket haul on Indian soil.
Further, it was Bumrah’s eighth 5-wicket haul in 29 Tests – the joint-most for an Indian seamer after as many matches alongside legendary Kapil Dev.
