Chasing 158, the home team went off to an impressive start, with skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan forming a dominating opening stand of 64 runs. Rohit scored a quickfire 19-ball 40 with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes before Roston Chase dismissed him.

For the visitors, Nicholas Pooran top-scored with 61 from 43 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries, including five sixes. Opener Kyle Mayers (31) and captain Kieron Pollard (24 not out) chipped in with valuable contributions to take Windies to a ⛄competitive total.
