England’s speedster Stuart Broad achieved the golden milestone in his Test career during the fifth day of the third Test against West Indies at Old Trafford. The right-arm bowler registered his 500th Test wicket by dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite lbw on the morning of the final day’s play in Manchester.
Broad got to the landmark in the 14th over of West Indies’ second innings. Incidentally, Brathwaite was also Broad’s partner-in-crime James Anderson’s 500th Test scalp.

Broad has now become only the seventh bowler in the history of Test cricket to pick 500💟 wickets. He is the second Englishman to get there after An🅘derson. Overall, Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan leads the list with 800 scalps to his name.
