The all-rounder was seen talking against India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a video clip shared by Jaiveer Shergil – National Spokesperson for Indian National Congress. It is being reported that Afridi recently visited Kashmir (POK) dressed in army fatigues.
Afridi over there said, “I’ve been deeply humbled by all the love shown to me by the people of Kashmir. I hope that there will be a team from Kashmir in the next edition of the PSL. If there will be a team from Kashmir, I will want to play for that team”.

The comments have not sat well with netizens and former Indian 🎉cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who took to social media to reply about the same.
Expressing disappointment at Afridi’s anti-India comments, Yuvi regretted his call for assistance to ex-Pakistan skipper’s charity.
“Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial’s comments on our Hon’b PM @narendramodi ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again,” he wrote in his Twitter post.

Last month, Yuvraj and Harbhajan Singh 𝐆had posted videos in support of Shahid Afridi Foundation which was raising funds for the underprivileged affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in the day, Harbhajan also slammed Afridi for his comments. “This is very upsetting what Shahid Afridi has come up with, talking ill about our country and our Prime Minister. This is just not acceptable,” Bhajji said on India Today show ‘Sports Tak’.
