India’s frontline bowler Jasprit Bumrah has many fans across the world. He is pretty famous for his ability to bowl inch-perfect yorkers, a skill that he learned from the ace Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga while playing for IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI).
Apart from the consistency in delivering toe-crushing yorkers, Bumrah’s bowling action has also many fans in the cricketing world. A lot of kids imitate his action and try to bowl exactly like the Ahemdabad-born. However, Bumrah’s most special fan is Rohit Sharma’s daughter Samaira.
In a video posted on Mumbai Indians’ official Twitter handle, Samaira is seen imitating Bumrah’s bowling action. This video was taken from Bumrah’s Instagram live session, which was joined by the Indian deputy to interact with the fans amid the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the video, Rohit can be heard saying: “There is a guest in our house, who has never imitated anybody, but she will imitate you perfectly.”
Rohit was talking about his daughter Samaira. The cutie pie was asked to perform Bumrah’s action. Samaira then fluently performed Bumrah’s bowling action.
“You (Bumrah) are the first person whose cricket action Samaira has imitated,” Rohit added.
Bumrah, also looked happy and he left a witty remark saying: “That is good, right? Her choice is great; she has selected a good bowler.”
