Rohit Sharma reveals his five all-time favourite Indian batsmen

The Indian opener Rohit 🦂Sharma was all set to lead Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but due to Coronavirus pandemic followed by the extension of lockdown, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was forced to suspend the current season for an ౠindefinite time.

In the meantime, Rohit has continuously been active on various social media platforms where he is inspir🌜ing his fans to follow the lockdown and sharing the latest happening in his life. Recently, he was again seen in an Instagram live chat 🐼session. This time, Rohit was spotted exchanging conversations with his former Mumbai Indians and India teammate Harbhajan Singh.

During the chat, Rohit revealed his five all-time favourite Indian batsmen. The Indian deputy kicked off the show by picking his former India change room partner Sachin Tendulkar. Rohit belongs to those lucky cricketers who shared the Indian dressing room, as well as the Mumbai Indians’ change room with Sachin.

After Sachin, Rohit went for India’s ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid. Known for his determination and endurance, Dravid has been an inspiration for so many cricketers, and Rohit isn’t different. For the third favourite spot, the Nagpur-born picked attacking Indian batsman Virender Sehwag.

The remaining two positions were fulfilled by class batsman VVS Laxman, and one of India’s best captain Sourav Ganguly. People who have followed the 90’s and early 2000’s cricket then know that these five cricketers have played a crucial role in influencing the Indian cricket. For some fans, it was nothing but a golden era for Indian cricket when these five diamonds of Indian cricket used to play together.

Rohit has been the most successful captain in the history of IPL after winning as many as four titles in the cash-rich league. In 188 games so far, Rohit has piled up 4898 runs with 36 half-centuries and one hundred. Amongst leading run-scorer Rohit sits at the third place 𒁃after Virat Kohli (5412) and Suresh Raina (5368).
