The camaraderie between England and Rajasthan Royals teammates Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler is quite evident 🔯when the two share the field.
Stokes’ admiration for Buttler went to another level as the former tagged the latter as ‘one of the most versatile and best ODI players’ in the world right now.
The two have stitched several game-changing partnerships over 🙈the years, the most notable of them being at the World Cℱup finals in 2019.
Buttler walked in to bat with England’s score at 86/4, chasing a challenging total of 242 in a high-pressure situation.
However, the two batsmen displayed their maturity while graft♔ing a pivotal 110-run stand, which kept England in the hunt for the title. 🌠Buttler scored a precious 60-ball 59, while Stokes took the game into Super Over with his unbeaten knock of 84.
“For me, he is one of the most versatile and best ODI players in the world right now. You know he can destroy you; he can hit you 360, but he can also play innings like that in the World Cup final,” Stokes mentioned during a podcast organized by Rajasthan Royals.
“To have that skill set as an ODI player is an absolute nightmare for an opposition captain or bowler,” further added Stokes.
With the best score of 150, Buttler has accumulated 3843 runs in his ODI career thus far, at a blistering s💞tr⛦ike rate of almost 120.
Coming into bat at number six, Buttler has the license to go after the bowling in the final 15 overs of the innings. Buttler has been instrumental for England, who have reached the most number of 300+ scores in ODIs, 💙since the 2015 ODI World Cup.
Both Stokes (OBE) and Buttler (M🀅BE) were felicitated by the Royal family in February this year for their outstanding contribution to England cricket.
