The whole world has been severely hit by the significant outbreak of deadly disease Cov💎id-19, known as Coronavirus. The regular spread of the virus has inserted fear in many, and due to it, numerous sporting events have been majorly🧜 affected. These events have either been postponed or cancelled.
The ongoing Chappell-Hadlee trophy has also been postponed. The opening game, however, took place at Sydney Cricket Ground in front of🤪 empty stands. Australia managed to defeat New Zealand by 71 runs.
Before the match, Australian pacer Kane Richardson was tested for Coronavirꦍus. However, he was tested negative and was drafted back to the squad.
After the game, Kiwi fast bowler Lockie Ferguson complained of s💧ore throat, and therefor🎃e he has been placed under isolation.
“In accordance with recommended health protocols, Lockie Ferguson has been placed in isolation at the team hotel for the next 24hrs after reporting a sore throat at the end of the first ODI,” a statement read in NZC.
“Once the Test results are received and diagnosed, his return to the team can be determined,” the statement further read.
During the game﷽, Ferguson pic🍷ked up two wickets for 60 runs in nine overs.
