Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim powered his team to a staggering victory over Zimbabwe in the lo𒅌ne-Test at Sher-e-Bangla Sta﷽dium in Dhaka.
The ‘pocket-sized dynamite’ brought up his third Test double ton during his marathon knock of 203 not out, which consisted of 28 sumptuous boundaries.
However, during his long stay at the crease, one of the event꧋s raised quite a few eyebrows. To protect his stumps, with the ball lobbed high, ouꦬt of sight for a little while, Rahim shielded his wicket using his backside.
Rahim could not read the bounce of the delivery from one of t𝔉he Zimbabwean bowlers. The ball ricocheted𝕴 off his pad and lobbed in the air and was on its way to the stumps.
The former Bangladeshi skipper avoided the ball from hitting the wickets by standing in between the ball and stumps – only millimeters away from the batsman.
