NZ vs IND: Steven Finn compares Trent Boult’s batting display with that of AB de Villiers

New Zealand’s Trent Boult entertained the Wellington crowd during his stay at the crease as he scored a quickfire 38 off 24 deliveries against India in the ongoing first Test at Basin Reserve on Sunday.

The left-arm seamer’s unorthodox cameo helped the Black Caps post 348 in their first innings.

England fast bowler Steven Finn took to Twitter and compared Boult’s batting display with that of AB de Villiers. “Trent Boult moving around the crease and batting like AB DeVilliers here,” Finn tweeted.

Boult hit five fours and 1 six🦂 during h⭕is 24-ball 38.

He swiveled around the crease like De Villiers and ended up with aജ strike rate of 158.33.

Later on, he also dismissed Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli and finished the day with 3/27🤪.

Now, New Zealand are in the dꦏriving seat with the wicket assisting both fast bowlers and𓂃 spinners.

While the Indian skipper Virat Kohli yet again fell cheaply on 19, Ajinkya Rahane (25 not out) and Hanuma Vihari (15 not out) have looked solid so far, having stitched ꧑a 31-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Day 4♔ would be crucial for both side🌄s as the tourists still trail by 39 runs.
