Heather Knight’s century opens England account in Women’s T20 World Cup 2020

England skipper Heather Knight slammed the first century in the ongoing women’s T20 World Cup to win their second game in the competition against Thailand. She scored an unbeaten 66-balls 108 to guide England to post a massive score of 176-2 in 20 overs.

Apart from the English skipper, Natalie Sciver also shined with the bat as she smashed an unbeaten 52-ball 59 and h🧜elped her leader to build a 169-run partnership.

In reply, the Thailand team could only post 78 runs in the💞ir allotted 20 overs for seven wickets. Opener Nattakan Chantam (32) scored maximum runs for her side. Middle-order batter Naruemol Chaiwai remained u♛nbeaten on 19.

For England, Anya Shrubsole claimed a maximum of three wicketsꦿ, while all-rounder Sciver grabbe🔥d two. Spinner Sophie Ecclestone bagged one wicket.

Thailand will now 📖play against South Africa on Friday (Feb 28) at Canberra, while England will face Pakistan on the s💖ame day at that venue.
