The Pink ODI holds a parallel tradition in itself with hosts South Africa donning the Pink jersey. This time around, even the English team replaced their🅘 navy blue stripes with a shade of pink in support of awareness of breast cancer.
World Champions and the number-o൲ne ODI team in the world, England, managed t🥂o square the series with a narrow two-wicket win over South Africa at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Quinton de Kock’s side was put to bat first and they managed to score a below-par score of 257 in front of the dau🐭nting English batting lineup.
De Kock 🐽and their experienced campaigner, David Miller, took the responsibility of putting a face-saving total as the Proteas kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Both scored 69 each to counter Adil Ras༒hid’s effort of 3/51, which derailed the South African proceedings. Rashid featured in his 100th ODI.
‘Killer Miller’, finally living up to his reputation, entertained the crowd with his unbeaten knock, which 🌄was laced with four boundaries and an equal number of maximums.
