The Board of Control for Cricket of India (BCCI) had recently invited applications for two vacant positions in the national selection panel. On❀e vacant position was of the chairman of the panel, which was earlier held by MSK Prasad, while the other one was of a panel member headed by Gagan Khoda.
Many veteran cricketers like Chetan Sharma, Laxman Si𓂃varamakrishnan, Nayan🔴 Mongia, Venkatesh Prasad, and Ajit Agarkar, Abey Kuruvilla, Rajesh Chauhan, and Amay Khurasiya had applied for the posts.
Now, the BCCI has shortlisted the final list of candidates for the position of senior national selector. As per The New Indian Express, the BCCI has shor🅺tlisted Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, Ajit Aga𒈔rkar, Venkatesh Prasad, and Rajesh Chauhan for the vacant posts.
The four applicant🍎s will now be interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which includes members like Madan Lal, Rudra Prata♈p Singh, and Sulakshana Nail.
As per reports, the int♎erview process is likely to take place within the next ten days, and an official announcement is expected to be made by the end of February. This also means that the three-match ODI series against South Africa starting from 💦March 12 will be the first assignment of the newly-elected selection committee.
