10 wickets including a hat-trick: Kashvee Gautam creates history in U19 Women’s One-Day Trophy

Chandigarh’s captain Kashvee Gautam etched her name in record books as she bagged all 10 wickets in a Women’s U19 One-Day Trophy game against Arunachal Pradesh (AP) at KSRM College Ground in Kadapa on Tuesday.

Not only the feat of 10 wickets, but Kashvee also claimed a hat-trick in the match. She bowled 29 balls and gave only 12 runs. The youngster finished with an outstanding figure of 10 for 12 in her 4.5 overs, including a maiden. Kashvee’s enlivening performance folded AP for just 25 runs.

Kashvee started the proceedings in her first over by picking two wickets. Then, in her second over, she claimed three wickets on the last three balls of the over registering a hat-trick. The right-armer didn’t stop there and grabbed two more scalps in her next over, and by then, she had taken seven wickets.

Soon after, the medium-pacer ended up the match and took the remaining three wickets t🌊o wrap up AP on 2🍃5.

For Arunachal Pradesh, only one batter naming Itika Tyagi (10) could reach the double-figure while eight batters could not even get off the mark, out of which four fell off their very first ball. The ext💞ras (six wides and two leg byes) was the second top-scor💛er for Manawat-led side.

Before impressing with her exhilarating bowling, Kashvee also contributed with the bat, scoring a 68-ball 49 run. She played a🐠 handy innin🎀g to help her side in posting a total of 186. Apart from her, wicketkeeper Simran Johal and middle-order batter Mehul scored 42 and 41, respectively.
