The Melbourne Renegades batsman Sam Harper collided heavily with Hobart Hurricanes’ bowler in the 47th match of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).
During the fourth over of Renegades innings, Nathan Ellis bowled a full slower de🥂livery at off-stump. Harper, who was on strik💙e, gave himself a room and hit it straight to mid-off.
After hitting the shot, Harper ran for a quick single, and the fielder threw the ball at bowler’s end, however, it missed the direct hit; in the meantime, Harper in the effort of reaching the other end got into a massive collision with the bowler.
The wicket-keeper batsman toppled over the bowler and fell head-first into the t✃urf.

He looked hurt and seemed to be in pain. The physio quickly rushed out to check whether everything was fine. After sipping some water and taking a few minutes to settle in, Harper looked alright as he put his helmet back. However, the doctor didn’t allow him to bat further, and he had to leave the field.

Hurricanes’ skipper Matthew Wade came to consult Harper, who was walking off the field. The 23-year-old had been subbed out of the remainder of the game. Tom Cooper was asked to replace him.

Earlier, Hurricanes posted 190-3 in 20 overs, thanks t𝐆o Macalister Wright who smashed 50-ball 70 runs.
In reply, Renegades reached 186-4 and lost the game by just 4 runs. Mohammad Nabi’s blistering knock of 63 from 30 balls couldn’t help his side as they lost their 10th game in the tournament.
