After winning the Test series against South Africa 3-1, England have shifted their focus towards the limited over games. However, England fast bowler Jofra Archer has bꦿeen ruled out of the upcoming Twenty20 series due to an elbow injury.
Archer suffered the injury during the first Test at Supersport Park in Centurion, a🧜nd because of this, he was unaꦇble to play the remaining Tests.
The right-arm spe🅷edster will be replaced in the T20I side by Lancashire seamer Saqib Mahmood, who was already a member of a separate squad for the upcoming one-day international series.
The England and Wales Cricket Board🌜 (ECB) revealed the newꦰs on Wednesday.
“Archer returned to the UK on Tuesday evening and will focus his time on getting fit after sustaining soreness to his right elbow, which forced him out of the last three Tests against the Proteas,” ECB said in a statement.
The three-match T20I series will begin from February 12 at Buffalo Park i✅n East London.
