On Sunday, India lost the second T20I against West Indies at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The prime reason behind the loss was Indian fielders, who dropped sitters, and💦 that helped the visiting team 🅠to capitalize.
However, India’s captain Virat Kohli pulled off a brilliant catch at the boundary rope.
During the 14th over of Windies innings, Shimron Hetmyer hit a Ravindra Jadeja delivery straight down the ground. Kohli, who was fielding at long-on, ran full len𒀰gth towards his right and took a magnificent catch just inside the boundary rope.
When the Indian skipper fell on the ground, it seemed as if he was sliding towards the boundary. But he controlled his movement and follow-through, missed📖 the boundary ropes꧅ by an inch.
In the post-match interv🐠iew, Kohli revealed how he took that absolute blinder. The 31-year-old said that he was just committed to taking that catch, and it stuck in his hand.
“It was just one of those catches that stuck in the hand. It came out of one of the lights. I just committed to the ball and put both hands out, and luckily it came in my hand.
“Last game I dropped a one-hander in the last game. It’s about putting in the effort, sometimes they stick, and sometimes they don’t,” added Kohli.
