South Africa legend Dale Steyn announced his retirement from Test cricket on Monday.
The 36-year-old, who played the last of his🍬 93 Te⛦sts against Sri Lanka in February this year, scalped 439 wickets during his career, making him the leading wicket-taker in South African Test history.
Fast🐼 bowler Steyn, the eighth leading wicket-taker in history, will continue to be available for one-day and T20 internationals.
Meanwhile, Twitterati can’t stop showering love and appreciation for Steyn on an excellent Test career.

The greatest of his generation. Stats don’t lie and test stats is the best . I know how much test cricket means to you bud and how badly you still wanted to achieve more . Hopefully we will still see a lot of this action.🍒 #🐐

One of the greatest of all 🎀time says goodbye to test cricket, a form of the game he adorned and🉐 enriched. He was one of the great sights of our game, gliding in, swinging the ball at speed. He has a place in history.
— Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha)
Dale Steyn is once🍰 in a generation cricketer, was the No. 1 Test bowler for nearly 6 years. Arguably the only one from𝐆 this era who can match the great fast bowlers of the 80s & 90s. If you have watched him bowl, you have seen pace bowling at its very best. Farewell !

A cricketing great bids adieu to Test cricket 🙌
Congratulations on a fantastic career, !
— SunRisers Hyderabad (@SunRisers)
Gutted and shocked to hear that is retiring from test cricket. One bowler who dominated in the batsmen's era. Unarguably, the greatest bowler of this generation in test cricket. Sad that injuries took a toll on his cricket. A huge loss to Test cricket.
