The seventh season of the Caribbean Premier League is scheduled from 4th September 2019 to 12th October 2019. Nepal’s wrist-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was picked up by Barbados Tridents franchise this year.
Sandeep made history when Delhi Capitals selected him for IPL 2018✨, the first Nepalese cricketer to achieve this feat.
🌠To participate in the upcoming tournament in the Caribbean and USA, Sandeep visited the US Embassy in Nepal for his Visa formalities. To his surprise, the authorities d꧒enied his Visa application.
The 19-years old informed fans via a tweet, “Today I visited @USEmbassyNepal to get the visa of USA for the upcoming @CPL 2019 tournament. Being a National Cricket Player representing my country in the various leagues since 2016 around the world, i got big surprise to see my visa got rejected. @PM_Nepal @USAmbNepal
“I was smiling and i was literally speechless to see all this, having all the proper documents i got this surprise. Being a sportsperson, its gonna be a bit hard for me to go and participate in @CPL for @BIMTridents @hello_sarkar @PradeepgyawaliK @MofaNepal”
