Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood (5-30) ripped through England to bowl the hosts out for a paltry 67 in their first innings on day tܫwo of the third Ashes Test at Headingley.
Joe Denly, with 12, was the✱ only England batsman to re🌜ach double figures in an innings that lasted a mere 27.5 overs, with captain Joe Root out for his successive duck.
England’s total was also their lowest in Ashes series since 1948 and seven fewer than what Smith’s replacement Marnus Labuschagne scored off his bat on Thursday.
With Steve Smith ruled out of the match, this was being considered as England’s best chance of registering a win and making it 1-1 in the five-match series. But the 50-over world champions are well behind in the contest now.

Lead of 112 after getting dismissed for 179. Shows you that if you can’t bat in challenging conditions, batting second꧅ won’t be of much h🅘elp. Good chance for Australia to retain in Headingly only. Even without Smith.

When you bowl a team oꦯut for 179 then get bowled out for 67
