ICC to use replays to call front-foot No ball, trials to begin over coming months

The ICC’s Annual Conference meeting concluded on 18th June in London. After the meeting, the including concussion player replacements, medical standards, etc.

ICC also supported the Cricket Committee’s proposal for the use of technology in calling front-foot No ball. ICC is all set to begin the trials for this over coming months.

Umpires missing to call a front-foot No ball during a match has received by the cricket fans and player during last few years. Many cricket specialist a🐬nd commentators recommended the use of technology to decide if the bowler overstepped.

This was highly debated during IPL 2019 as we witnessed a lot of umpiring howler over no-ball during the tournament.

Other announcements inclu💝de the suspension of Z🤪imbabwe, Croatia, and Zambia due to non-compliance with ICC Membership criteria.

ICC also introduced new rules that will no longer suspend the team’s captain for slow over-rate violation. These new rules will go in effect starting from 1st Augus⛎t, with the Ashes series.
