To bring an exciting end to the league games, South Africa defeated Australia by 10 runs at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. With this loss, Austr🐻alia slides down to the 2nd spot in the Point▨s Table and will face England in the semis.
In the other semi-final, India will face New Zealand at Old Trafford🍸, Manchester൩ on 9th July. The l👍eague match between two nations was washed out due to rain at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on 23th June.
After winning the toss, South Africa decided to bat first. Thanks to some wonderful batting performances, t♔he Proteas were able to put up a huge score of 325 runs of the board. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored his first century of the tournament while Rassie van der Dussen played a significant inning of 95 runs off 97 balls.
Chasing a big target, Australia lost early wickets and were 33/2 at one stage. It was a fabulous inning by David Warner (122 runs off 117 balls) and Alex Carey (85 runs off 69 balls) that kept Austr🎀alia in the game but in the end Australia fell short of 10 runs.

Earlier, in the first game of the day, India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets claiming the top spot in the Points Table. Indian opener Rohit Sharma played another brilliant𒐪 knock of 103 run🌺s, scoring his 5th century of the tournament.
KL Rahul also scored his first World Cup century, adding 189 r🌜uns for the first wicket partnershꦯip.
