England skipper Eoin Morgan, who hopped 𝓀off the field in the World Cup 2019 fixture against West Indies, with a dodgy back, showed no signs of pain as he smashed the fastest hundred of this edition, and fourth quickest overall, off just 57 ඣballs against Afghanistan at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Monday. He achieved the record feat with a six off Rashid Khan.
Morgan struck a record 17 sixes – the most number of sixes by a player in an ODI innings – and 4 fours during his scintillating knock which saw the wheels coming out of Afghanistan’s bowling unit.
Morgan’s blistering knock of 148 off 71 balls helped ✤England to p☂ost a mammoth 397-6 in their 50 overs.
Gulbadin Naib jokingly pulls Eoin Morgan back
The incident took place in the 32nd over when Eoin Morgan dabbed the ball to the off-side and tried to set off for a quick single. But with the fielders, including bowler Gulbadin Naib, convergꦓing to get h꧂old of the ball, the England batsmen decided against it.
However, when Morgan was coming back to his crease, the Afghanistan captain tried to stop him from reaching the batting creas𓆉e.
In all the haste, the batsman lost his bat only for Naib to give it back as there were smiles༒ all around.

Physically taking the bat out of Eoin Morgan hands might be the o🔯nly way to stop him today! 😅
