A pizza delivery guy halted play for few minutes during the IPL 2019 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH🍌) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International sta🌠dium in Hyderabad on Friday.
Du🌳ring the first innings when Royals were at 101 for 1, Sanju Samson was on strike to face Vijay S🌳hankar in the 12th over.
On the fifth ball of the over, Shankar was sto🐠pped mid-way through his run-up by Samson as he saw a pizza delivery person distracting his view while having a walkabout just above the sightscreen.
However, the brief halt didn’t break Samson’s concentration who was batting on 44 at the time. The 24-year-old went on to score his second IPL hundred and remained unbeaten on 102 off 55 balls as the visitors posted a challenging 198 for 2 on the board in their full quota of 20 overs.
But the score still wasn’t daunting enough for Sunrisers as they reached the target in the 19th over with 5 wickets in hand. David Warner smashed 69 off 37 balls while Jonny Bairstow (45) and Shankar (35) also contributed well in the run chase.
