The post which brought a tear to England’s star wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor’s eye

Star wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor will miss England’s forthcoming tour of India while💖 she continues to manage her anxiety condition.

Taylor is recovering from stress-related anx🎀iety which forced her to take time off from the game in 2016. It is a condition she is still learning to manage and she has decided that it is best to miss this tour with a view to coming back in🧔to the side in the English summer, before the World T20 tournament in West Indies this November.

In an interview with The Times, Taylor explained that touring is particula✤rly tough for her and can trigger her anxiety. Flights, airports and unfamiliar cities and the instability of moving around different places on tour are particularly hꦍard.

Taylor was part of the Ashes tour last year but sometimes felt that she needed to leave the tour and come home. In discussion with England’s head coach, Mark Robinson, and the other support staff, it was decided that Taylor should stay in England and continue some of the off-field work she has been doing to help her manage her condition.

Robinson was quoted as saying: “In Sarah’s case, she’s been doing really well and we always targeted this period as one where she can focus on her wellbeing in preparation for what will be a busy summer leading into the ICC World T20.”

However, a post shared by a marketing agency, Aylesworth Fleming, on social media has brought a tear to Taylor’s eye.

Taylor took to Twitter and reacted to the post with a comment, “This brought a tear to my eye! Thank you very much! 😢 #InternationalWomensDay”
