Australia’s Aaron Finch, who last played a T20I match in October this year, has raced past India captain Virat Kohli by claiming the number 1 position in the batsmen rankings. On the other hand, Pakistan young spinner Imad Wasim too eclipsed India’s Jasprit Bumrah to become the top rank bowler in T20Is.
Imad too played his last T20I match in October this year. The rise in Finch and Imad’s ranking happened because Kohli missed the entire T20I series against Sri Lanka, while Bumrah missed the last match of the series, which led to the Pakistan spinner’s rise to the top. Moreover, Bumrah went wicketless in both the T20Is he played against Sri Lanka. Likewise Kohli, Bumrah too loses two slots in the ranking as Rashid Khan takes the second spot.
The updated 𓄧rankings came after the conclusion of series between India and Sri Lanka.
However, India has surged to the second position in the Team rankings. Following their 3-0 clean-sweep of Sri Lanka in the recently concluded series, the ‘Men in Blue’ gained two rating points to vault upwards in the rankings table.
With 124 rating points, Pakistan continues to be the number one ranked team in the shortest format🤡 of the game. Haꦏving amassed 121 rating points, India is closing in on the heels of their arch-rivals.
