Kuldeep Yadav may be a young bowler finding his feet in the international arena but the 22-year-old Chinaman bowler has already made Australia’s star batsmen, David Warner, his bunny.
So far in his c൲areer, Kuldeep has bowled to Warner on six occasions and got him out four times. Two out of those four dismissals have come in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Incredibly, on the two occasions, he has bowled to the Australian in international cricket, he has ended up scalping his wicket.
Recently, Kuldeep also sඣaid that Warner takes pressure while batting against him. The youngster also feels that he can get the Australian opener out anytime.
Kuldeep Yadav’s statement on David Warner:
“I guess he (Warner) takes pressure while batting against me, and feels I can get him out anytime. It’s good that there’s no pressure on me and I enjoy bowling to him. I always feel to get him out and set my plans accordingly. I will try to get him out more,” Kuldeep had quoted.
David Warner’s reply to Kuldeep Yadav:
While speaking to India Today, when Warner was asked to share his views on Kuldeep’s statement, the swashbuckling opener said that he likes Chinaman’s confidence and credited him the way he bowled in Kolkata. However, he also added that the pressure to perform is on Kuldeep as he is still very young in the international arena and has played just 2 Tests and 9 ODIs.
“I like Kuldeep’s confidence. Credit to him for the way he bowled (in Kolkata). But the pressure is on him to perform, not me. You have played two Test matches and nine ODIs – when you are young, you have that confidence. I remember I had that kind of confidence when I was young and probably said things I would not now,” said Warner.
He also said that Kuldeep is bringing the pressure 💃♛on himself by making such big statements.
“He has been doing well and he has confidence that is what he brings to the table. But when he speaks like that, he is bringing the pressure on himself,” added Warner.
